Verizon’s BlackBerry Curve to be available beginning May 9

The blackberry Curve will be available from Verizon as of May 9. We saw the official announcement come from Verizon back in late-March, but at the time it was just left as “coming in May.” Well those few waiting Verizon customers can now let out a sigh of relief as its finally been given a date.

The Curve will be available online only beginning on May 9 and hit the retail stores just a few days later on May 12. A two-year agreement along with $270 (after a $50 mail-in-rebate) will put one in your hand, or $439.99 with no agreement.

Underwater DigiCam

Underwater DigiCam

Well how technology has leapt forward, an Underwater digital camera with a video recording mode for under £45.

Well it’s true, waterproof to 3 metres with a built-in flash and auto-white balance (two things you really need underwater), it has a seeringly simple point and click two button operation and floats like a mad thing - so you’ll never loose it to the deep.

Stix Chopsticks Glasses

Have you ever ate at a Chinese Food Restaurant and forgot to bring your pair of personal chopsticks? Sure, you could ask the waiter or waitress for a pair, but what if he or she doesn’t speak English?

Okay, that probably won’t really happen, but I think you see my point: it would be nice to have some chopsticks to carry around with you, but how could you do that? You could put them in your pocket, but that could easily lead to a lot of “are those chopsticks in your pants, or are you happy to see me” jokes.

Fortunately, the Stix glasses are here for you. The Stix glasses allow you to put your stick utensils in a place where you won’t forget them: your glasses. All you need to do is take them out of your glasses frame, and you are good to go. Not only can you use your chopsticks to eat, but you can also put them in your hair!

I would like to make a disclaimer. Normally, I never bad mouth a product, because I believe that every gadget that I review has a use somewhere. I’m sure that there is someone who needs these, but I can’t imagine who.

Sony’s Grand Theft Auto IV PS3 bundle spotted in Belgium store

by Darren Murph, posted May 2nd 2008 at 8:36AM
Yeah, that fancy press shot has a certain beauty to it, but there’s just nothing like spotting a highly coveted console in the wild. Thanks to our cameraphone toting tipster in Belgium, we’re presented with the first image of the GTA IV bundle sitting on a shelf just waiting for someone to trade their €450 in and take it home. Oh, and if you’re wondering what type of shop places a sweet PS3 beside an assortment of blank media, a coffee mug and what appears to be a CRT television circa 1990, it’s Free Record Shop in Antwerp, sucka.

[Thanks, Yannick]
