Iambic releases Tipper and GoogHelper for Android

If you’ve been wondering what some real Android applications would look like, Iambic has just stepped up to the plate with two new ones. First up is an application called GoogHelper, which features an interface for searching news, getting the latest stock quotes and even shopping. The second application is Tipper, which as its name implies, allows you to split a tip between five people. It’s pretty basic but it’s also the type of application that many people download to their mobile phone.

You can see both applications in action in the videos at the bottom of the page. Special note: make sure to click the screen adjustment button on the left, since YouTube defaults to the stretched (4:3) mode.

Kudos to Iambic for spending some development cycles on playing around with Android. Iambic is a solid developer and I’m sure this is only the beginning of what we can expect to see coming out of their development area.

It’s definitely going to be an exciting time in the mobile space when Android officially ships.
